CLOSE TO DENE HOLLOW

Henfield

The closest village of Henfield has a high street with a variety of cafés including Relish and The Post House Café, plus more. There are also many pubs, shops and a bakery. Swains Farm shop is on the outskirts of Henfield and offers a variety of local foods and wines to purchase. Sharky’s Soft Play and Café is a great soft play for younger children at the very well equipped Henfield Leisure Centre.

Steyning

Steyning is nestled under the South Downs in the valley and has a vibrant high street with many independent shops and historic buildings. There are numerous pubs, restarants and cafés to visit, with a local food market on certain days. The leisure centre has a swimming pool and other facilities.The Brighton & Hove buses number 2 bus takes you from Steyning to Rottingdean, via Brighton city centre.

Brighton & Hove

Brighton and Hove is a vibrant, creative and welcoming city in the heart of Sussex, surrounded by the seaside pebble beaches and beautiful South Downs countryside. Popular attractions include the impressive Royal Pavilion, famous piers, beaches, the i360 tower, and the Laines shopping areas, with many independent shops, boutique hotels and award-winning restaurants and bars. There are many live events throughout the year encompassing art, theatre and live music.

Worthing

Worthing is an inviting seaside town, with beaches and a charming pier which includes an Art Deco restaurant, open air community artwork and an amusement arcade. There are many independent shops, restaurants and cafés to choose from. Worthing is well known for its three theatres and one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, ‘The Dome’, as well as museums and art galleries. The South Downs surrounds the north of Worthing, with walks and cycle routes, as well as gardens to visit such as Highdown Gardens.

Horsham

Horsham town centre offers a museum and art gallery, in a medieval timber-framed building. The Capitol Theatre offers many exciting shows, comedy and pantomime and there are independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and takeaways throughout the town. There are markets in the square with street food, local produce, and arts and craft from Sussex makers. In and around the town are several popular green spaces including Horsham Park, Southwater Country Park and Leonardslee Gardens, several local golf courses, as well as South Lodge Hotel & Spa for special occasions.
